Hiking in Strawberry, Az..

This weekend we finally got together with our good friend Jeff and his new girlfriend Katie! We had a blast. They are such a fun couple. We decided to go up to Payson for a hike. I think its so beautiful up there. I kept mentioning to Jordan how much I want to go camping up there, then he almost stepped on a tarantula and well...I might have changed my mind. It's the only thing I am really truly a girl about..SPIDERS hate them! Unfortunately we got there late because of the camping traffic we had to turn around with maybe a 1/2 mile to the end because the sun was almost set, and surprise we weren't prepared for it.So we were bummbed, at the end there was supposed to be a swimming hole and a spring coming out of the side of the mountain.... (plus in my mind, all I could see was a spider crawling on me.) Gives me the ibbjibbies.. But all in all...the hike was beautiful and so was the cool weather!

D-Backs Vs Astro's

Our friends called us up the other night and asked us to go to the D-back game, and we happily agreed. How can you say no to FREE TICKETS! So, we sported some of their Astro uni's to show our support for their home team, but secretly we wanted to wear d-back clothing! lol and of course just because we did that guess who won.. THE D-BACKS! They crushed them with home run after home run! We were pretty bummed.. but we got some really good seats if you couldn't tell. After the sixth we were able to go down closer to the field like 4 rows away actually.. ($125 tickets) and got some really good shots of some of the players!! All in all we had a really good time, thanks to Chris and Veronica for inviting us!

Ok so I lied....

So, the last time we went on a hike I thought I was gonna die from the heat and swore I was not going to do another hike until fall. But Heather and John asked if we would like to go to Payson for a hike, so we agreed! We were so happy that we did! It was probably the best hike I have been on here in Az, well considering the scenery. It was a very liesure like hike but we still loved it. I want to go camping there soon, it reminded me of the mountains back home, which I miss SO MUCH! So hopefully one of these days I can post pictures of us camping in Payson!

Few pics..from our Idaho trip!

Over memorial weekend, Jordan and I flew back to Idaho for my bridal shower. We had a wonderful time and were blessedly surprised when we saw Jordan's mom pull up to my house on Saturday. I loved showing them bits and pieces of my life and where I grew up. Although, the weekend was so crazy in itself we didn't get to do much. But I still hope they enjoyed themselves and make a trip back sometime for a real vacation! Jordan and I were not looking forward to coming home, what can I say we love getting out of town!

Most likely our last hike until fall..

On mother's day, we went on a hike with Heather and John. And well it will probably be our last until its starts cooling down... It was so hot, it took most of the fun out of the hike for me. Not to mention my white ol skin got burnt! haha... but all in all it was fun, Heather forgot to mention on her blog that a little ol snake gave her a scare, but I will admit she probably saved me considering I wasn't looking far enough ahead to notice a snake slithering across the trail. :O)

Happy Mother's Day!

Just wanted to thank you for all that you do for us. It means so much to us. You two are both very special to me. Love Jordan

HAPPY MoM's DAY!

I have to say it's been a long road my mom has had to endure, but I admire her strength. She hasn't yet given up. I am very thankful for the wonderful person I was given, to be my MOM. She truly is a blessing in my life and I would not know what to do with out her. She has always been there for me when I have needed her the most and I will forever be grateful. Although, its been hard this last year not having her by my side planning my wedding but I know when the day comes she will be right there standing in front of me crying and telling me what a beautiful bride I am. And in that moment there will be a flood of memories of all the special moments she has given me not only as a child, a teenager, but even as a young adult. Through her wisdom and strength I know I can get through anything. Thank you mom for showing me the way through all my hardships, I only wish I could be there on this day to make you feel as special as you always make me feel. I love you...and I can't wait to see you!

My Kind of Party!!!

On tax day, I went to a tax day tea party at the state capitol with a co-worker. There was a couple thousand people protesting the outrageous spending that the government is doing. Our kids and grand kids are going to be paying for. It was interesting to see all the different types of people that turned out to support the constitution, not one specific political party. They were trying to get the word out to audit the FED House Bill HR 1207. We the people are the only ones that can stop the government from taking our rights away.

Mariners VS White Sox Spring Training

This Sunday we went to the Spring training game with Jordan's family and friends. It was nice of them to invite us along. A friend of Randy and Jan, Shawn, is a pitcher for the Mariners and was able to get us all tickets! We had a lot of fun, and of course we had wonderful weather, luckily we were sitting behind home plate in the shade or we all would have looked like lobsters when we walked out! THANKS FOR THE TICKETS!!
On the crappy side of things we left at the bottom of the 7th with the Mariners getting their butts handed to them 15-2...

Happy 6th Anniversary !!

Also on the 8th of March was Broc and Rian's Anniversary! So congratulations.. You made it another year! I only wish I could have been with you to eat some of those BBQ ribs you had...mmm..yum! We love ya guys...

Taylor Rae's First Birthday

Taylor turned 1 on March 8th... It's amazing to see how well she is doing with everything she has already gone through in her little life. Its so fun to watch her grow like a weed, and jibber jabber around the house. O and don't forget how she wants to do everything big sister does. But I have to say the cutest thing is when she takes off to run. She sticks out her upper torso and swings hers arms behind her then goes for it. ha ha It reminds me of a baby bird first learning how to fly..but still working on the right take off (and landing)!

The weekend with the nieces and nephews..

Peek -a-boo
So this is actually really late but better late than never. At the end of February Beth and Bj left sunny Arizona and moved back to Wisconsin. So before they left we wanted to make sure we spent some time with Memphis and Amelia. We had a blast. Jordan taught the kids how to play pool. It was adorable. Amelia was so eager to be up there learning. While this all took place we invited My sister over with her girls so the kids could all play. It was very entertaining how they all interacted together. Over all it was a very good night and we enjoyed it very much. We were truly sad to say goodbye.

We had a friend visit us...

So I decided to post something without pictures, usually I don't do this but I keep forgetting to tell the story! Sunday night coming back from Tucson, we decided to stop and get the mail. Jordan got out of the car and all the sudden there was this dog at his feet..so I whistled out of plain curiosity. The dog came right over to the open door and looked in, of course I was nervous like "hi doggie", since it was a stray..then all the sudden he poked his head in a little farther so i thought what the heck I will pet it..tsk tsk tsk on my part cause then the dog crawled in a little farther, then before we knew it this dog was sitting there in the driver's seat and wouldn't get out. Jordan was bribing it with Heather's cookie we had in the car, and it still wouldn't budge. So I decided to give a little nudge and he kind of gave me a little grrr...noise..I instantly stopped..I didn't want the dog to BITE ME.. so then we had to put a even bigger chunk of cookie in front of his nose and coax and nudge him out of the car.. then Jordan hurried and jumped it before the dog could jump back in! lol It was hilarious..definitely the best visit to the mail box!

HAPPY HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Well, we are really slacking on taking pictures lately..the pictures didn't turn out too good..stupid camera phones..but at least we have some. New Year's Eve was spent with John and Heather at the dog track. We had a really good time with them. Later that night we went out with our friends Matt, Hayley, and Jeff... I was very thankful I got to sleep in the next day...JORDAN.
We spent the rest of the weekend in Laughlin. It was wonderful being able to spend some time away from the house and just have a mini getaway with each other. But again we didn't take any stupid pictures there..which I am quiet upset about..O'well maybe next time.....

ugh..I can't seem to stay ahead!

Miss Taylor Rae Trysta couldn't stop eating the candy!! lol Then she said right after we built it...can we eat it now!
As everyone already knows Christmas has come and gone, and we loved every minute of it. Our Christmas day started off with a video conference with my whole family. Gosh, how I miss them. During the conference we were able to see Lydia open gifts..and run around the house. Then of course watched Trysta and Taylor. We enjoyed watching all of my nieces open all their presents from Santa. The rest of the day was spent relaxing in our pj's...lol so..That's one of the main reasons you don't get to see a picture of us too.. But all in all Jordan was spoiled again...and I guess I was too :O) I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!!

Our Engagement Story...

Well it all happened on July 2...I was sitting at work when I received a beautiful bouquet of roses from Jordan. I was so surprised! Its not everyday a girl receives beautiful flowers for absolutely no reason. So I instantly called Jordan to thank him, and of course lecture him on how he doesn't have to spend so much money just to show me how much he loves me:) Of course he said not to worry..he wanted to then said how he wanted to start our vacation off on a good note...I then smiled and said ok.

Jordan and I carpool everyday to work. So about the time I was getting off work I texted him quick and asked when he was gonna get here, and of course he responded, "I will be there soon baby." As, I sat there waiting for him to show up, I then noticed a chauffer guy had pulled in the office parking lot, and as the receptionist I just waited for the guy to come inside. Once he came in, he told me he was here to pick someone up, I asked who and he responded with "Kailea". I then was like what..huh..who..and he said my name again..I instantly was so nervous. Finally, we were in the car and I asked the chauffer person where we were headed, he then said our address. I was thinking to myself thats weird..whats going on. lol so I texted Jordan and he pretended he was stuck at work and wasn't able to come pick me up so he called someone to bring me home so I wouldn't have to wait forever at work..

I then called bullshit..but I didn't know what else to think..honestly I didn't want to get my hopes up for a proposal just in case it wasn't one! As we pulled up to our house, I got out and noticed a trail of long stem roses leading up to our front door. I instantly stopped dead, like o crap...this is it! lol I then slowly walked up to the door and opened it..the first thing I heard was our song playing..then I noticed candles lit all over the living room and tons of rose petals on the floor..once the door was opened a little wider there sat Jordan in a nice suit on one knee, holding a open jewlery box. He then whispered, "Will you marry me." With big alligator tears in his eyes and a quivering lip...all I could say was "awww babyyyyyy...." he stood up and we hugged...and kissed..and kissed again...and kissed again...all while we were both crying..we then looked at each other and I said, "of course baby" and he slid the ring on my finger..and we kissed and hugged again.. and said our I love you's...It was the most perfect moment I have ever experienced in my life. I wish I could go back in time and experience that 5 mins of my life over and over again. I am pretty sure I would never get sick of it.

After the proposal we were both so excited and started texting almost everyone in our phones...and called our families. Later that night we went to the Longhorn Bar and Grill where we met and had dinner...It ended up being a very special day and night for us. And of course we both couldnt stop smiling :o)
